Default ditching starter items

I think it should be easier to get rid of starter items when we get better ones. as it is right now.. you have to exit a main town and drop the stuff. That's just kind of annoying. Maybe make them salvagable?

Look at your [I]nventory screen. The rightmost icon in the space where your bag icons are lined up, is a trash can. Drag any item you want to delete to the trash can.

it's suprising how many people still dont know about the trash can. I had to teach a friend about this a few weeks ago, and he's been playing this game with me since beta.

thx.. I never knew about that! I think the making them salvagable would be somewhat useful. Maybe do the same with other customized items. You can sell em, but why not have the option to salvage them too?

You can already salvage customized items.

Some items cannot be salvaged, customized or otherwise. Collector's weapons, PvP weapons, starter weapons etc.

starter items can't be sold nor salvaged because people (well probably bots) would abuse it just by perpetually creating new chars.

They'd end up losing money that way. At the most you'd salvage like 2 Iron from a starter item. The cost of just opening a storage account on that character would already put you well behind what you'd get for the iron.

Unless you had someone to pass the materials to instead of storage.

Here's my idea:

We all throw them into a large vault in Shing Jea Monastery. Then, when we have billions of them, master togo can salvage them all into one huge almighty Trojan Shpinx. Then, when Nightfall Preorder is just about to be released, master togo sends it through the fabric of the game world and into Elona. We all have a great big party and get drunk and stoned and make out with really ugly girls and regret it all later. Master togo turns into Dhuum and we all run away. Our preorder prize is a Bad Memory and whenever you double click on it, a big scary thing comes out and scares you, and you gain full adrenaline, energy, health and all your skills are recharged.

That's my plan anyways.

If what Ventius said didn't already having me laughing, the toilet drinking comment nearly made me spit my soda out.

As long as it all involves rum it should be good ;P
